I never thought this day would come, but after 157, days of using Miracle Mist Plus my mom’s pressure sore was totally and completely healed. As shown and described in previous blogs, Day 1 was taken with six weeks after attempting to care for a Stage II pressure sore on the heel of her foot, with absolutely NO success. The images were taken with a camera phone but even with its mediocre resolution, the redness, irritation and depth the pressure ulcer are obvious. My mom’s care giver, Bernice and I applied Miracle Mist Plus four times daily according to the directions. Within several weeks there was rapid improvement and total surface clearing. However, with my mom putting constant pressure on her heel as well as the long, record-breaking hot summer; we were always short of complete healing. Day 157 was September 16, 2012, taken in natural, early morning sunlight with my phone. Not only was the outer skin on her heel void of any visible sign of a pressure sore, the tissue underneath was also fully restored. There was no sunken-in appearance and no mushy feel to the heel beneath the surface. It was supple and as firm as all the surrounding tissue. This was a day long overdue. I am so happy that I found Miracle Mist Plus and will continue to recommend it. Caring for pressure sores is one of the most challenging and frustrating ordeals to encounter, but thanks to this wonderful product it is no longer a losing battle. My guide lines for using Miracle Mist Plus successfully:
-Use as directed. Spray lightly and at a distance of several inches from the area. Let dry and repeat a total of 2-3X.
-Apply several times daily. I initially started with two, but increased to four.
-Miracle Mist Plus also comes in a gel which I found is perfect for rounded surfaces like my mom’s heel.
-Try to relieve the pressure on the affected area using fleece or gel support products.
-Be diligent and be patient. This is really an amazing product that gives results. Good Luck.
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I write the following. My mother passed away suddenly November 4, 2012, just twenty months after my father’s passing. While I’m happy she is free from the confines of her hospital bed and reunited with my dad, I am truly broken hearted beyond words. I’m also humbly grateful to have had the privilege and opportunity to care for both my parents and hope that they are now happily at peace together. This blog is rededicated to their memory will all my love, admiration, gratitude and respect.
